Reaching the Tronchetto pier, embarkation for Lido di Venezia, also called Isola d’Oro (Golden Island) by the Venetians and its inhabitants. Here, everything recalls the most popular Venice. From the sestieri to the eternal ritual of the spritz, the local aperitif, white wine sprinkled with Campari or Aperol. From the labyrinth of calli, sotoporteghi and campielli to the ciacolar of the fishermen who join forces at Bar Perla. To the passion for historical regattas and the myth of the great champions and masters of rowing. Heading south, you will see a fabulous panorama of salt water, characterised by the presence of wooden fishermen’s huts, resting on piles and connected by footbridges called ”bilancioni”. Skirting the Adriatic Sea you will enter the Mesola Woods (where with a bit of luck you may see deer and fallow deer). Then pedalling between beaches and pine forests you will reach the Lidi Comacchiesi. From Porto Gribaldi last pedal to Comacchio. Free time to visit the ’little Venice’ with its bridges, canals, the Antica Pescheria, the Loggia del Mercanti, the Loggiato dei Cappuccini until you reach the Manifattura Marinati where you can immerse yourself in the culture of a past that is still relevant today and discover the history of the Reginale delle Valli, the eel. Overnight stay in an agritourism or B&B.

Breakfast. Departure in the direction of the Comacchio Valleys, considered a place of pilgrimage for Italian birdwatchers. We continue towards Casalborsetti and reach the coast, where we pedal through centuries-old pine forests and lagoons towards Ravenna. Free afternoon to visit the famous city of mosaics. The Basilica of Sant’Apollinare Nuovo, the Basilica of San Vitale, the Mausoleum of Galla Placida, the Baptistery of the Orthodox, the Baptistery of the Arians, the Mausoleum of Theodoric, the Basilica of Sant’Apollinare in Classe and the Chapel of Sant’Andrea bear witness to Ravenna’s illustrious history as the capital of the Western Roman Empire (5th century).

Breakfast In the morning, departure in the direction of Cesenatico. Visit to Sant’Apollinare in Classe, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, considered the most imposing basilica of the early Christian period. Despite the various pillages suffered over the centuries, the basilica has preserved the splendour of its original construction. Today it is admired worldwide for its splendid polychrome apsidal mosaics and the ancient marble sarcophagi of the archbishops, arranged along the aisles. Continue to the famous Cervia pine forest, where the colours and scents of the Mediterranean forest can be admired. Arrival in Cesenatico and accommodation in hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel.
